What the board does
The Dongvile Economic Development Corporation is a Type B corporation under Chapter 505 of the Texas Local Government Code. Voters approved its half-cent sales tax, which funds the corporation’s work. The board of directors:
- Adopts the corporation’s annual budget, which City Council must also approve
- Approves performance agreements and incentives for businesses that create jobs or invest in Dongvile
- Funds eligible projects such as infrastructure for business sites, job training and quality-of-life improvements
- Holds a public hearing before spending on any project, as state law requires
The corporation keeps an inventory of available sites. It currently lists nine, including Pad Sites 4 and 5 at Interstate Crossing North, 38 acres on Industrial Park Rd with rail access, and a former video rental store on Main St that the board describes as “turnkey.”
Executive Director Dustin Crocker manages the corporation’s day-to-day work from City Hall, Suite B.
Who can serve
Directors must live in Brisket County. At least three directors may not be City employees, officers or councilmembers. Business, finance, real estate or banking experience is helpful.

The board has no vacancies right now. Pick up an application form from the City Secretary at City Hall, 150 E Brisket St, or call (936) 555-0110 to have one mailed. Return it in person or by mail to P.O. Box 1887, Dongvile, TX 76969. City Council makes regular appointments each September.
