- Off your property, dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and under your control.
- On your property, dogs must be kept in a fenced yard, a building or on a tether that meets state standards: no chains, and at least 10 feet long or five times the dog’s length, whichever is greater (Tex. Health & Safety Code ch. 821).
- Cats do not need to be leashed but must be registered.
- Leashes are required in every City park. Pick up after your pet.
- Animal Services does not respond to calls about the ducks at Queso Creek Park. Contact Parks & Recreation at (936) 555-0104.

The goat on FM 1337
Animal Services is aware of the goat on FM 1337. A brown and white goat has been reported on the shoulder of FM 1337 regularly since January 2025. Officers have responded to 41 calls. The goat has not been captured, claimed or identified, and it does not wear a tag.
If you see the goat in the roadway, call Animal Services at (936) 555-0111, or 911 if it is causing a traffic hazard. Do not stop in a travel lane or try to direct the goat. FM 1337 is maintained by TxDOT. The goat is not.
If the goat is yours, please contact Animal Services. No impound fee will be charged for its first reclaim.
