See visiting aircraft up close, watch the crop dusters, take a free introductory flight (ages 8–17) and help recognize the airport's two new windsocks.
Pilots from around the region will fly in to Dongvile Municipal Airport for a morning of aircraft, breakfast tacos and appreciation for the airport’s two windsocks, which were replaced in July.

Introductory flights are given by volunteer pilots. A parent or guardian must sign a permission form at the registration table on the day of the event. Flights are first come, first served.
Windsock Appreciation Ceremony
A short ceremony at 10:00 a.m. recognizes the north and south windsocks for their service. Airport Manager Ron Hooten will give remarks. Attendees are asked not to touch the windsocks.
The runway will be closed to arrivals and departures from 9:55 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for the ceremony. Pilots should check NOTAMs before flying in.
Safety
Children must stay with an adult and behind the yellow line on the apron at all times. No pets on the apron. Park in the grass lot along Airport Rd and follow the volunteers’ directions.
